1789: The French National Constituent Assembly votes the adoption of a " Declaration of Human and Citizen Rights ". This defines the natural and imprescriptible rights of humanity.

1648: The people of Paris rise up against Regent Anne of Austria after the arrest of Councilor Broussel. This insurrection marks the beginnings of the Fronde, which will last until 1653.

1071 : Battle of Manzikert : The Byzantine army of Roman Emperor IV Diogenes is routed by the army of Seljuk Sultan Alp Arslan. The Byzantines lose Anatolia.
