1916: One Zeppelin German bombs Paris. This air attack will be the last of its kind used by the Germans. Airplanes will soon replace zeppelins.

1889: Archduke Rudolph, heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary, commits suicide after killing his mistress, Marie Wetsera, in a hunting lodge in Mayerling.
