Ephemeris of December 3

1952: Opening of prague trial, which will lead to the death sentences of 14 Czech communist leaders.

1792: The king's trial Louis XVI begins before the Convention. He will be condemned to the guillotine except for one voice.

1563: The Council of Trent affirms the existence of purgatory as "holy doctrine." Place of temporary purification awaiting the Last Judgment, the "purgatorium" is rejected by the Protestants.
