World War II Europe from the sky

Google Earth software now allows its users to preview European cities during the second world war. The photographs used as references were taken between 1935 and 1945, and are mainly taken from reconnaissance carried out by the RAF (Royal Air Force) and USAAF (US Army Air Force). They offer a striking panorama of several cities shattered by the war, such as Warsaw, Berlin or Florence. It is even possible to compare the appearance of 39 cities then with their current appearance. To enjoy it, just download the Google Earth software.
